Twister is played on a large plastic mat that is spread on the floor to serve as a board game. It has four rows of large colored circles on it with a different color in each row. Players act as the playing pieces. A spinner serves as a die for the game and tells you which hand or foot to put on which color. Players are eliminated from the game when they fall or when a knee or elbow touches the mat. It was a national phenomenon that brought all age groups together.
